Infopulse Ukraine in cooperation with EDB business partner and Down Syndrome Education International welcomes talented professionals to compete for the vacant post of the Early Development Centre Services Director for the Ukrainian Down Syndrome Organization.
Responsibilities for this position will include (but are not limited to):
• Coordinate operation of the Early Development Centre for children with congenital genetic disorders
• Lead education and training activities for the Early Development Centre
• Plan, manage and support the delivery of intervention and advisory services projects on time, within budget and to high standards
• Coordinate with professionals from nursery school and kindergarten programmes to provide informational support to the specialists of these institutions
• Participate in preparing methodological and teaching materials for parents and specialists
• Take part in conducting training, seminars, conferences, and regional workshops
• Report to the charity management committee
Successful candidates should correspond to the following competencies / skills:
• Proven successful experience on a managing position in special educational institutions for pre-school and elementary school children
• MS degree in education sciences, special/ therapeutic pedagogy or similar
• Experience in development and implementation of programmes aimed at educational and consulting services provision for children with special needs and their parents
• A thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory issues relevant to the provision of professional services, the protection of vulnerable persons and data protection
• Expertise in development of individuals with Down’s syndrome and their families support / relevant experience in charity/social organizations and/or rehabilitation centres will be an additional plus
• Fluent English (both spoken and written)
